Admission of New Students Grades 7 + 8
It is the goal of the Elysian Charter School to creater a learning environment affording all students a meaningful opportunity for success. The nature of the departmental curriculum (aligned to the NJ State Core Curriculum Standards) progresses in incrimental steps throughout the school year. Newly arriving students late in the year are at increased risk of failure because they may lack the needed pre-requisite coursework covered begninning in September of that school year.

In consideration of helping all students to succeed, Elysian will admit students on the waiting lists for grade 7 or grade 8, up until October 15 of the school year entry. After October 15 of the year, no students will be admitted to any 7th or 8th grade class at Elysian Charter.

Sibling preference shall be in effect at the beginning of the school year. After October 15, no admissions, may take place for any student in either the 7th or the 8th grade (including siblings).
