We Recommend Comet in Moominland
The first grades went to see this fabulous performance last week. Anne, Pam and I spoke afterwards and felt that this was such a superb show, we wanted to tell parents that tickets were available for evening and weekend performances.
The performance takes place in The Duke on 42nd Street theater where a carpeted floor replaces regular seating, and the audience sits on the floor and turn to watch the many stages. This play is based on Tove Jansson’s book. Although it’s recommended for students K-2, we felt that older students would also love it; it has sophisticated language that the adults enjoyed and would be very interesting for students interested in puppetry and creating innovative sets.
Tickets for Mayhem Poets!
Elysian has tickets for an After School Performance at the New Victory Theater on Thursday, October 25, 4:30 PM. Mayhem Poets is recommended for students grades 3 and up. We will be leaving school at 3:00 PM and we’ll return around 6:45 PM. Call Lynne Shapiro if you have any questions about chaperoning and cost. Permission slip is attached. Please call Lynne, as well, to let her know your child will be attending!
